Challenges on Planet

There are numerous challenges facing our planet, nature and its inhabitants.

Challenges in the Ocean: Humans enjoy the big blue seas, using them for activities, fishing, transportation, military training and more. Unfortunately, there is a misconception that the ocean is a good place to dispose of waste. In fact, the ocean is heavily polluted. This often includes plastic waste such as broken fishing nets, packaging waste, metal products and more. There are also numerous chemical and drug contaminants that are invisible to the eye.

Overfishing leads to a decline in stable populations of marine life. Depending on the fishing method, entire marine habitats such as coral reefs and established colonies on the seabed can also be physically destroyed in the long term.

Challenges on land: Droughts and forest fires are ravaging our land. Many animals, plants and their habitats are destroyed in the fire. After a forest fire, animals often can not find fresh drinking water, which can lead to delayed suffering such as dehydration with deadly consequences. Established forests and populations of inhabitants recover slowly, but they do. Nature has the ability to regenerate if populations are not extinct.
